Monaco TS 420

This exciting new mid engined car was originally based on the F 27 chassis plan, now however, the production cars will feature pushrod suspension all round, radiators mounted in forward side pods, a deformable structure inside the nose and side impact protection. The reason for these modifications?? Quite simply, the chassis has to be able to pass the 2009 FIA ROPS (roll over protection system) test. This will enable the Monaco to be used not only for racing and competition in the UK, but most of Europe and Austral Asia. It is important for track day users as it means the chassis exceeds the current safety criteria by a considerable margin!! More information on the Monaco page.

MONZA LS 400 V8.

This car has been a long time in development with the results proving to be truly breathtaking. Features in Totalkitcar, Complete Kit Car, Kit Car, Track and Race and Circuit Driver magazines over the course of this year have confirmed the Monza is “awesome”!!! The chassis has been thoroughly tested, developed and proven to more than cope with 400+bhp. This means owners will have a car that will perform at its best at all times. Certainly the engine is a major contributor to the cars success however, the chassis, brakes and steering all have to play their part. The suspension has been reworked including a really strong rear De Dion set up and uprated front end. Other developments that are being looked at are the fitment of doors and a glass windscreen.

On the engine side apart from the fabulous LS 2 engine, GM produce a 175 bhp normally aspirated, 4 cylinder unit and a new 2 litre, all aluminium, turbocharged engine producing 260+bhp. With a 175 bhp version from £24,995-00, a 260bhp car from£26,995-00 and the LS 400 from £29,995-00 there is plenty to choose from.

FORMULA 27 CLUBMAN

The now fully updated and tested F27 is proving itself to be a real hit with those that drive it!!! See both Ian Hyne’s report in Kit Car magazine (November issue) and Keith Wood’s up and coming feature in Track and Race magazine for the full story. The Formula 27 is now available in fully built form with a brand new 2 litre Zetec engine with Webcon throttle bodies and management system from £13,995-00. Part built chassis and Rolling chassis are also available with specifications to suit your budget. The Duratec engine is working extremely well in the F27 now with power options starting from 185bhp to 210, 250 and 300+ bhp again depending on your budget. Although the basic chassis as penned in the early 1990’s is excellent, it was meant for engines that produced around the 100 bhp mark. Now however, our engine partners Ultimate Performance, www.ultimatep.com have just taken a normally aspirated 2 litre Duratec to 304bhp with Torque curve to match!!! Consequently the chassis has been updated and stiffened to cope with this increase in power and torque whilst maintaining the inboard front suspension which works extremely well.
